DAISY NINA BARRETT, was born in 1894, daughter of Harry Michael & Emily BARRETT.  Her Father,  Grandfather and Uncles worked for the Isle of Wight Railway, so it seemed quite natural, that when women were needed to take on the jobs during WW1, that were previously carried out by men,  Daisy joined the IW Central Railway for [...]

 
Born in Oxford 1826, son of William and Sarah Barrett.  He married Rebecca Panting at Oddington and after having two sons at Bicester they came to the Isle of Wight for the start of the building of the IW Railways. William was a coppersmith & brazier, then becoming a whitesmith.
