This imposing proud gentleman, ARTHUR PEERS, was a Warder at Parkhurst from 1881 till the early 1900’s, he was a popular member of the staff, regularly participating in the Entertainments at the officers mess and recreation ground where fete’s were given for the children.
Note the whisle hanging on the front of his jacket and the very distinctive cap.

This is a list of Juvenile Offenders who had been convicted and were serving  their time at Parkhurst Prison, they were subsequently transported on the said date, to the place below.  These were extracted from the original register at the National Archives at Kew, ref: HO.24/15 The area beside each name is where they were convicted, so not necessarily their place [...]

These are a few names of women prisoners at Parkhurst Prison, which I have extracted from the great many registers located in the National Archives at Kew.  I do have full details, which I can supply to any enquirer, that includes: name, age, crime, sessions, conviction, length of sentence and where they went to upon leaving Parkhurst.
